Ferry information - operators and routes - to France

Ferry docksThere are a lot of ferry crossing from the UK and Ireland to France. SpeedFerries now offer budget-crossings (they're the RyanAir of ferries) from £19 each way - but don't expect too much comfort or decent food.

We were recently impressed with the level of comfort and the quality of the food on P&O's ferries to France - but expect to pay alot more than SpeedFerries - at between £100-150 normally. SeaFrance seems to combine high prices with low quality.

EuroTunnel is, of course, an alternative to the ferries - but it's not that cheap, at around £150 each way.

The chart below shows who sails from which UK/Irish ports to French ports. Click on any logo to visit their website.
