Fishing holidays in Languedoc, south France
If all you think about when you think of the south of France is beaches, then think again. The Languedoc-Roussillon region of the south of France is crisscrossed with rivers - pouring down from the Pyrénées, Cévennes and Black Mountains. Which makes the region a mecca for anglers, who come here to enjoy superb river and sea fishing in gorgeous, warm weather. The main rivers are the Hérault, Aude, Orb and Rhône - where you'll find a wide variety of fish species. Some of the area's rivers and lakes have some restrictions, but this is one of the many things your fishing holiday hosts will be able to help you with. In fact, the big advantage of coming on an organised fishing holiday in Languedoc is that your hosts will be able to take you to the very best fishing sites in their local area (as well as the best wine-tasting domains and restaurants!)
Most fishing holidays in Languedoc south France also come with accommodation included - but if they don't, simply contact your hosts ahead of time and they'll usually be able to find you somewhere close by to stay.
