The TOP 50 sightseeing things to see and do in Languedoc Roussillon, South France

In terms of sightseeing things to do and see, Languedoc Roussillon, in the south of France, has so much to offe. From the spectacular 'La Cité' at Carcassonne, to gorgeous natural wonders like the Cirque de Navacelles.

In fact, there's more to see and do here than in neighbouring Provence. Languedoc Roussillon's rich history has provided it with a huge number of impressive sightseeing options, and the region's varied and rugged terrain means there are many 'natural' sights on offer, from the Camargue, with its flamingoes and wild horses, to spectacular caves, to the bizarre 'Orgues de Roussillon'.

Tourist guide books will list literally hundreds of sightseeing destinations in Languedoc, which we think just makes life that bit too stressful - as you've still got the hard task of choosing between them.  So we've cherry picked what we feel are the 50 most interesting sightseeing venues in Languedoc Roussillon, south of France, to visit:

La Cite, Carcassonne
Le Duchee, Uzes
Le Petit Train Jaune
