This modernised Maison de Maitre is in the tranquil village of Cazedarnes and has two lovely apartments: ground and first floor with classic features wooden beams and mellow stonework.

Ground floor gite
Maison Hirondelles now offers another gite on the ground floor which has two double bedrooms both ensuite, a shower room, new kitchen/dining room and a large sitting room. This gives you the opportunity of having two families or one group using all five bedrooms. Both gites have private seating areas which have plenty of sunshine and shade.


First Floor Gite
With a separate entrance through a courtyard, stone steps lead up to the three double bedrooms, two with ensuite showers and one with ensuite bathroom. A fully fitted kitchen sitting-room with dining area, and a south facing sun terrace with wonderful views over the Cazedarnes valley.

Both apartments have use of the 10 x 5m heated salt water swimming pool and garden. The garden has many trees and shrubs and plenty of room for sunbathing by the pool, as well as "Meg's Folly" - a poolside kitchen where you can rest from the sun, take a chilled glass of wine from the fridge or make yourselves a cup of coffee or tea.

Wine lovers will be pleased to hear that we are minutes away from St. Chinian with its 20 villages making up the Appelation. The beautiful river Orb is also nearby offering swimming and kayaking. The nearest restaurant is only 7 minutes away. Narbonne is 40 minutes away with its magnificent Cathedral, excellent restaurants, Roman ruins and wonderful walks along the Canal du Midi.
The village of Cazedarnes is only just over an hour from Carcassonne, and the beautiful city of Montpellier and 35 minutes to the Mediterranean. There are so many beautiful places to explore whether it be beaches, ruins or waterways there is something for everyone.

NB The only thing you need to bring is beach towels, all linen is provided.

First floor Gite has a well fitted kitchen,Fan electric oven, 4 electric hobs, microwave, fridge, washing machine, toaster and kettle and dishwasher. Ground floor gite has well fitted kitchen, fan oven, hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and dishwasher. The washing machine is in the cave below.
 

Culture and Countryside:
Wonderful walks, climbing, canoeing, horseriding, tennis, fishing, boating, golf and farm Zoo, Mediterranean garden, Museums, Abbey and Gorges, are all close by. Not to mention breathtaking scenery for the painter and photographer and last but not least Wine tasting.
2017 the village should have a cafe/small shop and now there is a new tennis court.

 

Both Gites have UK television with a DVD, CD player, BBQ and hire of bicycles €10 per week. Table tennis, and boules, and a garden chess set. There are ample games and toys for children. "Meg's Folly" by the pool with fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
