What are your delivery charges?

The cost of delivery depends on the destination country and the excise duty agreement they have with France, and of course the cost of delivery to that country. You can currently make on-line orders for with to the following countries at the rates shown below;

No. of bottles France Zone 1* Austria Denmark

These costs are inclusive of TVA (French sales tax) and will be added to the total cost of your wine order. Please note that we do not make any profit from delivery or packaging costs as we are striving to keep these costs to a minimum.

TIP: Due to packaging costs, it is more cost effective to buy in multiples of 12

Deliveries can be made to certain states of the USA and costs vary between €10 - €12 per bottle. For full details please contact us for an exact quote.

Please note that sadly we cannot delivery to Canada as the costs are just prohibitive.

For deliveries of larger quantities or for orders to any countries not listed above, please contact us at [email protected] for a specific quote.

When will my delivery arrive?

We understand that after placing your order, whether for you or as a gift for a friend or loved one, you want this delivered as quickly as possible. We will process your order within 48 hours of receipt. It will be delivered by the specialist delivery company within 2 weeks of placing the order. IF there is an issue with availability, we will be in touch to discuss an alternative, or the timings to fulfil your original order.

I missed the driver - what happens next?

Our transporter will leave a note in your letter box to organise a second delivery date. Beyond a second delivery, your order can be picked up from our transporter’s customer collections centre where it will remain for up to two weeks after the first delivery date. Beyond this period the order will be sent back to us.

How will my wine be packaged?

With the help of specially designed ecological boxes, wine can now be safely transported just like any other parcel. Our international transporter specialises in deliveries to private customers, this not only keeps the costs down but thanks to the design of the boxes, your wine is well protected and should arrive in perfect condition.

What happens if my delivery is damaged on arrival?

We have a no quibble guarantee, however your delivery document must be signed by the person receiving the delivery and any damage to packaging or the wine itself must be noted on the delivery certificate. No reimbursement can be made in the case of breakage if it has not been noted on the delivery certificate at the time of delivery. Be careful to check that your boxes are intact in presence of the driver, even if he seems to be in a hurry! Please contact us as soon as possible if your delivery is damaged in any way, so that we can arrange a refund or replacement.

What if my wine is corked?

Again our no quibbles guarantee will ensure that you get complete satisfaction. Unfortunately, with any natural product, imperfections can arise. If you are unhappy with the wine please contact Adrian Mould who will be happy to arrange a replacement.

How can I avoid local excise duty? Is this legal?

Of course this is legal! By ordering wines though this website, you have already paid the French excise duty due on the wine along with the local sales tax. So under EU law no further duty or tax is chargeable, providing the wine is for personal consumption. This is why we can only deliver to certain countries.

How are the wines selected?

This selection of Languedoc wines has been chosen by Wendy Gedney, a Languedoc wine specialist who runs Vin en Vacances. She has selected these wines based on their quality and character with the aim to provide support to the true artisans that make them. All of these wines are lovingly produced by small vineyards giving you access to wines you will not easily find outside of the region. They offer an interesting range of the styles of quality wine produced by local winemakers and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Do you offer gift wrapping?

We do not currently offer this service, but if you need a special message popping in the box, please do contact us so that we can arrange this for you.

Is this wine cheaper than I can buy locally?

A good question! Given the fact that many of our wines are sourced from small producers, it is unlikely that you will find these wines locally. However, French excise duty paid on wine is one of the lowest in Europe so more of your money will go towards the wine, rather than the tax man.

For example: UK duty, and VAT on the duty, is over £26 a case at £2.17 a bottle for non sparkling wine (and this has just gone up in the recent budget). Where as here you will only pay the French duty which is only just over 3 cents a bottle!

Can I order a gift for friends or family?

Yes, so long as they live in the countries that we deliver to and are over 18 - wine makes a wonderful gift for any occasion.
