Uzès was once home to the French Dukes, first in line to the throne after the immediate monarchy. It is a small town with tremendous heritage.
Fabulous architecture which has been restored by the French Arts council, it is a real delight to wander around the tiny backstreets in order to have a glimpse of the indoor courtyards with carved stone staircases in the old Nobleman's houses 'hotels particulier'
Market on a Saturday is an amazing experience, a concert of colours and perfumes. Dinner on the square 'Place aux
Herbes' in the evenings, leisurely lunches under the shade of the century old plane trees before a tour of the interior decoration and antique dealers.
Music festivals in the old churches, dance festivals under the stars, a choice for every taste.
Restaurants ranging from the Michelin starred smart places down to the friendly bistrot.
