Semi-Detached House near Prades, Pyrenees-Orientales

This is a lovely stone village house in an equally lovely setting in a quiet village within a national park close to the market town of Prades.

The house is ready to move into and has loads of character with its stone facade, wood burning stove and wooden floors. The house is split over three levels - on the ground floor, you will find the fitted and equipped kitchen along with the cosy living room with its exposed beams and stone work. Up one level is the master bedroom which has a south facing balcony and relaxing views of the mountains. There is also a bathroom (check out the gorgeous cast iron bath) and a small laundry room for storage, the washing machine and water heater. Two further double bedrooms can be found on the upper level, along with a shower room. The house has a terrace to the front - ideal for providing that all important outside space but easy maintenance if you're not planning on being here all year round.

The village has a bar/restaurant but no shops, however a bread van comes by twice a day and Prades is close by with all the shops you could need (there is a bus service from the village four times a day). This really is a haven of peace with trout fishing lakes close by (exclusive access by car for those living in the village), fabulous walks all around and both the Mediterranean coast and the ski resorts within one hour's drive.
