Watersports - such as sailing and boating within minutes from the house .There are two sailing schools for all levels here. Swimming - There are miles of sandy beaches at Marseillan Plage , just 10 mins drive away (4 miles) or a 20 minute bike ride along the Etang de Thau (salt lake), a painless ride along scenic flatland with nesting flamingoes and egrets. Just two mins walk to the main port, 24 restaurants, cafes, town centre and Tuesday market. Many facilities stay open year round to serve this vibrant community and our coastal position means miles of sandy Med beaches are just an 8 min drive. River and Canal Cruises - the Canal due Midi starts here at the Etang. There are two sailing schools located in Marseillan. Children's Playground - within walking distance. Tennis Courts -, bookable at the local town hall ( arie). Golfing - at St. Thomas and Cap d'Agde golf clubs, only 15 mins. drive , reasonable green fees at 185 Euros for 5 days. Brocante Fair (Antiques market) is set up every Sunday, about 10 mins by car. Nocturnal Amusement Parks - three in the area . Surrounding Area - Historical towns like Pezenas and Agde, St Guilhem le Desert , and further afield, the Pont due Gard in Nimes and vibrant Montpellier for excellent shopping . Scenic driving routes for whole day explorations and picnics by languid streams or stop by a little cafe for a little serendipity . Mountains- in the hinterland where it is possible to hike , canoe and explore beautiful old villages like Olagues and St Guilhem le Desert . Degustations - ( sampling of food and wine ) there are dozens of wine estates ( domains) to vist for local food and wine. Free tastings and legendary farmers' markets in abundance. Nightlife and Casinos - in Cap d'Agde for all nightbirds, Moule Frite restaurants stay open till the early hours.

Our luxury townhouse is on the Lagoon of Thau overlooking fishing boats and the old fishing port of Port Tabarka. Boasting the most stunning view of the Lagoon and fishing boats, to be enjoyed whilst dining alfresco on the terrace. An exceptional property of 85 sqm. Marseillan itself is a delightful small town which retains the spirit of a traditional French village, quite unspoilt and compared to St Tropeze 20 years ago. There are over 24 restaurants just 5 mins walk away from the villa to the main port and surrounding the Basin, a fruterh 300 restaurants many serving excellent fresh seafood and regional dishes.
Flexible Accomodation. Suited to one or two couples as there are two luxury bathrooms with wc's, or come with the family as the villa sleeps 6 very comfortably in three double bedrooms.
Ground floor; Double bedroom with built in wardrobes, seperate bathroom and seperate wc. The bedroom patio doors open to a large terrace with views of the Etang.
Middle floor; Fully fitted kitchen, comfortable sofa and two cane armchairs. Patio doors open on to a balcony with table and chairs for 6/8, and has a wonderful view of the port and Etang. Ceiling fan in the living area.
Second floor; 2 bedrooms. The first has a double bed and built in wardrobe and the second has twin beds and wardrobe. Also, there is a shower room with toilet and vanity unit.
Garage; Integrated and lockable. The neighbourhood is very safe and tranquil , and our experience in holiday letting for the last 9 nine years assures our guests of every comfort. Being right on the Lagoon of Thau, it's privileged position has resulted in three Ports and many harbourside restaurants, cafes and brasseries to choose from its main port where it is possible to dine alfresco whilst looking on the boats in port. There are over 23 restaurants for all tastes and budgets, fresh seafood and locally farmed oysters and mussels are sold daily.
This could be combined with a golfing holiday as there are two 18 hole Golf Courses at Cap D'agde and Saint Thomas just a 15 min. drive away. Golf Pass for 185 Euros for 5 days. Or a walking holiday with many trails to pick up in the Regional Park of Haut Languedoc, or just a restuarant crawl all laround the Etang, noted for its Oysters, the Oyster Farm is 2 mins by car from the house.
