There are many Vineyard Domaines around Tourbes where tastings are available. Only a 3km away is the wonderful medieval town of PEZENAS with lively cafes, restaurants, art galleries, arts and crafts shops and cultural events. The Saturday morning market in Pezenas has local produce, food, wine flowers, ....! PEZENAS is well served by large modern supermarkets and plenty of restaurants. The beautiful beaches of AGDE are about 25 mins away, as is the CANAL DU MIDI. The lively naturist resort of CAP D'AGDE has an attractive marina, plenty of restaurants and evening entertainment. Between MARSEILLAN and S?TE there is a 7 mile stretch of beach. Watersports are also available at the LAC SALAGOU about 30 mins away. There is also fantastic swimming in the crystal clear waters of nearby rivers and their waterfalls. The Gorges De L'H?ric and the River Orb are good examples. The water is crystal clear. For the more adventurous, hire a canoe and paddle down the river, picknicking en route! Being so near to the Mediterranean coast, wonderful fresh fish and shellfish are in abundance and served at the many local restaurants. Many of the coastal villages hold famous 'water jousting' tournaments throughout the summer. BOUZIGUES is a must for fis lovers with its extensive shellfish farms.

3km outside Pezenas and 30 minutes from Beziere. Tourbes is one of the prettiest villages in the Department of Herault, steeped in more than 1,000 years of history. The village has a very friendly boulangerie (closed on Mondays), general store and chemist, with other needs supplied by a weekly mini-market on Wednesday where you will find a greengrocer and fishmonger. A couple of minutes walk from the house are 2 parks, one with swings and climbing frame. Access to the local tennis courts (5minutes walk) can be had by paying a small fee and deposit for a key at the chemists shop, basket ball and football on astraturf are free of charge. The supermarkets, boutique, chic shops, cafes and restaurants of medieval Pezenas are only 5 minutes away by car (3km).
Property Description. The
beautiful converted barn that was totally renovated in 2006. The classic pool (9x4meters) is surrounded by a large paved area that accomodates sun loungers to relax away the day.

First Floor: Lounge/kitchen This spacious, airy room (9 meters x 6 meters ) with its beamed ceiling combines living and dining area and kitchen area. There is a dining table large enough for 8 people, and plenty of comfortable chairs and sofas, TV/DVD with views over the garden and pool. The fitted kitchen is well-equipped with a 4 ring stainless steel electric hob, built in electric oven, microwave with grill and rotisserie, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, iron, ironing board. Wide glazed doors to the front provide a pleasant view overlooking the garden, pool and over to the local park .
Bedroom 1: Over looking the swimming pool and front garden the bedroom with double bed (160cm x 200cm), and ensuite bathroom with large walk in shower, and bath.
Bedroom 2 & 3: To the rear are two double bedroom with two single beds and window looking to the rear park. The rear bedrooms benefit from the shade of a large fig tree and are cooler. The external view is a small garden and another quiet park (8meters from the house and mainly trees).

The main bathroom with wet shower area, sinks and WC is easily accessible from the two bedrooms.

The Garden
Outside in the abri (5meters x 10meters) we provide a covered area with table tennis, basket ball net, 3 adult and 2 childrens bikes and darts. A secluded and private outdoor eating facility (table and seating for up to 8 people, plus a barbecue) in the shade. The large courtyard garden is in full sunlight, provides secure parking and play area and is totally secluded by old stone walls.

Nearest Town Pezenas (3 kms) Mediterranean beaches 25 mins. The larger town of Bezier with its historic cathedral and August ferier is 30 minutes drive.
