The pretty little village of St Jean de la Blaquiere is set in a picturesque situation amongst hills. It has a bakery, small general store, post office and bar, which also serves snacks. The village boasts several excellent wine producers where you will be welcome to taste and buy direct. The village also has an olive cooperative producing top class oil and olives. The olive festival is held towards of October each year and attracts visitors from far and wide. Mediterranean beaches are a 45 minute drive and there is swimming and water sports at Lac Salagou (15 minutes), or in the river H?rault (20 minutes). All shops, restaurants and services are available in the market towns of Lod?ve and Clermont l'H?rault (both 15 minutes). Both towns have an excellent morning street market - Saturday in Lod?ve and Wednesday in Clermont l'H?rault. The surrounding hills and countryside are ideal for walking and there are a host of sleepy little villages nearby to visit, as well as many local places of historic interest.

Stone built house is on the edge of the village which has been restored by an architect, who has paid great attention to detail and incorporated many charming features, such as exposed beams and stonework. On three floors, it is light, roomy and comfortable with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Ethnic rugs and table lamps contribute to the ?home from home? feel of the house.Entry is into a large eat-in kitchen, which is well equipped including washing machine and dishwasher, and plenty of crockery, glassware and cutlery. There is a wood burning stove which provides heating during the winter months. Up a couple of steps is the spacious main sitting room with sofa and comfortable arm chairs with balcony.On the first floor is a large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom consisting of bath with hand shower, WC, wash handbasin and bidet. There is also a small double bedroom and a third bedroom with single bed, plus a family bathroom with bath, bidet, wash handbasin and WC.The top floor consists of a large bedroom with a single and double bed. Glass doors leading out on to the vast (8 metres x 4 metres approximately) roof terrace, with stunning views over the hills and countryside. Outdoor furniture is provided to make this a delightful spot for al fresco meals or sunbathing.Telephone available for incoming calls, outgoing calls can be made with a calling card.
