Location:
Cebazan is a small village (population approx 390) on the N112 in the foothills of the Haute Languedoc National Park. 30 mins from the Mediterranean and 30 mins from the mountains in France?s largest wine growing area.
In the village there is a local bakers (boulangerie), a post office, a wine co-operative and also an excellent Pizza Takeaway.
Saint-Chinian (a market town) is less than 5 mins drive away with its shops, caf? bars, restaurants & twice weekly market.
Mazes of quiet country roads lead you through the vineyards to lots of little villages & towns of historical interest. Travel North through the Garrigue (Wild Boar Country) into the mountains & Gorges or South over the canal du midi onto the coastal plain to Cap D?agde or Sete and the Mediterranean beaches. West is the medieval walled City of Carcassone & Cathar Castles, or beyond, the Spanish border & the Pyrenees. To the East is Avignon & the world heritage site, Pont du Gard (an ancient Roman Viaduct) and Provence. For city lovers there is nearby Toulouse, Narbonne, Montpellier, Perpignan & also Nimes with its ancient Roman Amphitheatre.
