In the park, behind the Marie (town hall), just a stones throw away from the house, there is a 25 metre communal swimming pool, a boules square, along with table tennis areas, and an open air theatre, showing intermittent performances, there are also tennis courts in the village. Creissan is a very charming French village and lies between the mountains of the 'Parc Naturel', and the Mediterranean beaches, a 25-minute drive to either, and settled amongst vineyards as far as the eye can see, this is truly a unique setting for exploring this region, with rivers that cascade down to the sea, providing water activities, ranging from canoeing and rafting, to leisurely canal trips on the famous Canal du Midi. The whole area is steeped in history, the remains of which can be seen in its cities and towns, and the chateaux, abbeys and monasteries.
