On the banks of the Canal Rhône-Sète with views from the bedroom window of the peniche barges making their way from the Mediterranean to the wild Camargue. Just minutes from the historic walled mediaeval city of Aigues-Mortes itself, a short drive from the beach and excellent golf courses and a perfect base for exploring Languedoc and Provence.
Relax in the smart bright open plan living and dining area, prepare a meal with market fresh ingredients in the fully-equipped separate kitchen, step out into your two private gardens and patio to watch the canal boats and dine al fresco, or take the plunge in the secure swimming pool shared between the residents of this exclusive secure community.
On the ground floor of the house, discover a lovely kitchen, well equipped, overlooks the canal itself. In the living room a sofa bed and comfy chairs and dining area look out towards the garden with its barbecue. An extra wc and washroom on the ground floor.
The main bathroom is upstairs on the first floor. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds.
The house has two gardens: one is a private courtard, the other on the banks of the canal. The gated swimming pool offers fun for all the family, and the town of Aigues Mortes, with its shopping and dining options, just a short stroll from the front door. Hop in the car and the beaches of the Med are minutes away.
AIGUES MORTES is the historic capital of the Petit Camargue. This beautiful, fortified medieval town is unchanged since the Middle Ages. Constructed in the early 13th century by Louis IX, King of France, as a port of embarkation for his crusades. It is now famous for the Tour de Constance, the amazingly well preserved ramparts, walls and fortified towers plus the Place de St Louis with its many bustling cafes and restaurants.
