If you're looking for holiday home rentals and villas in or near La Grande Motte - you've basically got two choices - rent a holiday apartment in the La Grande Motte resort itself, or try to find a villa close to La GRande Motte.
Created in the 1970's, La Grande Motte is a hugely popular tourist resort of high-rise apartment buildings, beaches, shops and restaurants. Apartments here aren't cheap, as they're so close to excellent beaches, the marina and all the facilities the resort offers. You might find you get better value if you rent a holiday home rental or villa just outside the resort.
The beaches here are good - and if you have a car, we'd recommend driving a little further east to the huge and wild Espiguette beach, with its sand dunes and excellent nude bathing. To the south of the holiday home rentals and villas of La Grande Motte you'll find Le Grand Travers beach - a huge stretch of sand that's popular with joggers. In summer, it hosts on-beach restaurants.
