Beautiful child-friendly beaches, only 5 minutes away - 15 miles of wonderful sandy beaches. Half an hour to the north is the staggeringly beautiful Languedoc Nature Park, where activities include lake and river swimming, canoeing, horse riding, cycling, rambling and bird watching, all in spectacular surroundings. The property is in the heart of an excellent wine-producing region, with many chateaux and domaines for wine tasting and purchasing. Good value and gourmet restaurants are within easy reach. Béziers town is approximately 30 minutes away by car with its bustling boulevard overflowing with restaurants, café bars and markets throughout the week; the famous flower market on a Friday. The Cathedral in the heart of the town overlooks the Canal du Midi. In August, Béziers comes alive during the ‘Feria’ with concerts, street musicians, craft stalls and exotic festivals. Montpellier is just 45 minutes away, and offers excellent shopping and hypermarkets. Enjoy the superb tram system, alight at the 'Place de Comedie' for sightseeing and refreshment. Cathar history is present almost everywhere and the ancient fortress of Carcassonne is only 1.5 hours drive away and is well worth a visit, especially on jousting days! Pézenas has a large open-air market every Saturday which is well worth a visit. The town has many winding cobbled stone streets housing antique shops, art galleries and many craft shops, restaurants and beautiful buildings. During July and August on a Wednesday and Friday the craft shops are open until midnight and you will often find street theatre groups to entertain you ! Several good golf courses are within easy reach, Agde is the nearest or Golf Saint Thomas at Béziers, approx 30 minutes drive – see www.golfsaintthomas.com/english The beautiful tree-lined Canal du Midi which links the Atlantic with the Mediterranean has miles of flat walks along the shady tow paths. Cap d’Agde (10 minutes) has beaches and water sports, boat trips, beautiful harbour, golf, casino, fashionable shopping, nightclubs, waterfront restaurants, several children’s theme parks and a fabulous water park (Aqualand). Budget airlines fly regularly to Montpellier, Perpignan, Carcassonne and Nimes all within an hours drive. Spain, Andorra and the Pyrenees are within easy reach.

The apartment is situated in a quiet residential area of Marseillan, close to all amenities and the long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean.

The apartment has an open plan lounge with dining area and patio doors onto the terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, 4 hobs, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine.

The light and airy lounge has a sofabed, a TV and a dresser with sufficient crockery for 6. In the dining area is a table and seating for 6 or you can eat outside on the terrace.

There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and fitted wardrobes and the second with twin beds and fitted wardrobes.

Marseillan is famed for its home-produced oysters and its pink flamingos and is a lively town with plenty to see and do. Walk to the harbourside for seafood and local wines, visit the international marinas and golf course at nearby Cap d'Agde and also discover the local picturesque French villages, including Pézenas and Sète.

Marseillan Plage has excellent sports facilities for sailing, windsurfing, riding (on the beach off season) or take a private boat trip on the Lagoon and Mediterranean.

Shops and bars are all within walking distance as are the delights of the quayside restaurants offering fresh fish, local produce and superb Languedoc wines.
