We are situated in the South of France between Toulouse and Carcassonne on the edge of Castelnaudary with views across the Lauragais Hills and on a clear day you can even see the Pyrenees! Approximately one hour’s drive from the beaches of the Mediterranean and just over an hour from ski resorts of the Pyrenees. The Canal du Midi with its hire boats and fishing etc runs through Castelnaudary. There are numerous sports and leisure activities in the surrounding area. The area is great for walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing in lakes & rivers. There are many picturesque villages with old churches, ruins of Abbeys and Cathar castles to explore and of course wine tasting in the local vineyards of the Cabardes, Corbier, Malpare, Minervois and the white sparkling Blanquette of Limoux. At present we have one double and one twin room available, both ensuite with a further two rooms available at a later date – consisting of a double and a family room again both ensuite. Breakfast will be Continental. We have off-road, shaded parking available and use of the garden. The house is 3 minutes from the A61 Motorway junction. Approximately 3 minutes walk to the nearest Restaurant and 5 minutes to the nearest Bar and roughly 15 minutes walk to the centre of the town where you will find many more Bars and Restaurants. . Nearest Airports are Carcassonne/Ryanair approx 30mins and Toulouse/ Easyjet + others approx 50 mins
