Come and relax in a beautifully renovated 16th century stone village house. The house has been sympathetically restored to maintain the character while updating it to cater for modern comforts.
The house offer two double bedrooms, both with private bathrooms. They are both decorated to an exceptional standard with beautiful antiques and paintings. There is also a smaller single bedroom available on request.
The house has a terrace over-looking the courtyard and the village square beyond, with stunning views of the mountains around. There is also a large dining room with open fireplace where you can (by appointment) be wined and dined in style (sitting on Queen Anne chairs and using antique silver).
The village lies about 20 miles (35 kms) North of Beziers in the foothills of mountains at an altitude of about 1300 feet (430 metres) and has a population of 85. The house is situated in the village square overlooking the East end of the Romanesque church.
The owner will happily supply packed lunches for expeditions and dinners on any evening, but by prior appointment only.
The house is a wonderful place to be in all seasons. Winter can be magic with breathtaking local walks. Then return to a log fire and good seasonal food.
Summer is hot and languid but the altitude gives some respite in the evening.
