Arles sur Tech is located in the Vallespir area. The mountains of the Pyrenees dominate this area and offer great tracking and climbing facilities. In the east within driving distance (45 km) you find the seaside ports (Collioure, Port Vendre) and Mediterranean beaches (Argeles). To the west you find the Pyrenean ski-slopes on driving distance. Scattered throughout the area you find old fortresses, museums and Roman art. The Tech river offers great spots for fishing, a cool down or barbecue.
