There are also many Castles, Abbeys, Medieval towns and Churches to vist. Mirepoix is a beautifal medieval market town, lookout for the Gargoyles/Labyrinth, just 20 minutes from La force. Being in Aude, you are in the heart of the largest wine producing region of France, Melepere, Minervois, Corbieres, Cabades, Fitou & Blanquette de Limoux (the original sparking wine). Our local Vineyard is Domaine le Fort, 5 minutes from the village, offering a good range of red, white and rose award winning wines. La Force is a small Malepere circular historic village and Gite Petit is the house right in the middle. The village is situated between Montreal and Fanjeaux, just 19 kms from Carcassonne. Gite Petit is a village house with 2 large double bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room and a second shower room, it also has a children's room in the attic suitable for children aged between 4-12. A cot is available. Large sitting room, with 3 sofa's, TV, VCR, and stereo/cd unit, a good collection of video tapes, CD's, books and games to keep you entertained. The kitchen/dining room is a converted stable, with
cooker,hob,fridge and micowave, also a Breakfast bar,dining table that seats six. The Gite also offers a court yard garden, Barbecue and garden furniture is available. Also linen and towels are provided, beach towels are extra.
